Job Summary

Heritage Staffing is seeking a dedicated and passionate Home School Teacher to join a family in the Geneva area and support an 8 year old child with a structured yet creative project-based learning approach. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in delivering personalized education in a home-school environment fostering academic growth and nurturing a love for learning.

Job Responsibilities

Develop and implement tailored lesson plans that meet the educational needs and interests of the child.
Utilize a variety of teaching methods to engage the childand accommodate different learning styles.
Monitor and assess the childsprogress providing constructive feedback and adapting the curriculum as necessary.
Create a safe positive and enriching learning environment.
Collaborate with parents to discuss the childsprogress and educational strategies.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of educational best practices and curricular developments.
Organize educational activities trips and projects to enhance the learning experience.
Stay informed on legal and regulatory requirements for homeschooling in Switzerland.

Essential Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Education or a related field.
A valid teaching certification or license (preferred).
Strong knowledge of homeschooling regulations and methodologies applicable in Switzerland.
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with the childand parents in both English and French.

Desired Experience

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience preferably in a home-school environment.
Experience developing individualized learning plans.
Proficiency in teaching multiple subjects including language arts mathematics and science.
Familiarity with educational technology and online learning platforms.

Place of Assignment: Family home in Geneva Switzerland with occasional travels
Type of Position: Full-time Home School Teacher live-out
Accommodation: Provided when travelling with the family
Start Date: As soon as possible
Engagement: Temporary until the end of June with possible extension until the end of August
Schedule: Monday through Friday (exact hours to be discussed)
Availability: Flexibility required
Remuneration:CHF gross per annum
