Job Title: Medical Physicist - Radiation Oncology

As a Medical Physicist you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and efficacy of radiation oncology programs all while working in a supportive environment that values your contributions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure accuracy of all radiation measurements in all radiation oncology programs through periodic checks and records maintenance.
- Participate in ongoing meetings and chart reviews for procedural accuracy.
- Oversee brachytherapy procedures for safety accuracy and record maintenance.
- Assure accurate commissioning of radiation equipment and calibration.
- Contribute to administrative functions such as NRC documentation and department policy reviews.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Medical Physics REQUIRED
- Current certification by the American Board of Radiology REQUIRED
- Successful completion of Part I and II of the American Board of Radiology certification exam within 3 years of hire REQUIRED
- One year of experience as a medical physicist in a cancer treatment setting REQUIRED
- Experience in a Varian treatment environment HIGHLY PREFERRED
- Preferred experience in external beam treatment planning including SRS SBRT IMRT and 3DCRT
- Preferred experience with brachytherapy treatment planning and Sun Nuclear quality assurance devices
- Preferred experience with 4D CT and gated radiation therapy and Vision RT/OSMS
License and Certification Requirements:
- Masters degree in Medical Physics
- Current certification by the American Board of Radiology
- Completion of certification exam within the specified time
