Job Summary

TPF Recruitment is supporting a dynamic and growing accountancy firm with the recruitment of a Business Services Assistant Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for a newly or nearly qualified ACA or ACCA accountant with some practice experience to take responsibility for a client portfolio while developing their career within a supportive and ambitious firm.

About the Firm
The firm serves a varied client base including SMEs professional service providers charitable organisations and high-net-worth individuals. Its focus is on delivering tailored accounting taxation and business advisory solutions across a range of sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of clients acting as the primary contact for businesses and individuals.
  • Prepare statutory accounts and corporation tax returns.
  • Prepare personal self-assessment tax returns.
  • Provide commercial support and practical advice to clients.
  • Assist with company secretarial matters and general practice compliance.
  • Review and supervise the work of junior team members.
  • Work collaboratively with other managers and senior staff.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives and client growth opportunities.

Requirements

Candidate Profile
  • ACA or ACCA qualified or nearly qualified (QBE considered for strong candidates).
  • 13 years post-qualification experience in general practice preferred but not essential with the right experieince.
  • Experience preparing accounts tax returns and working with small to medium sized client portfolios.
  • Strong attention to detail initiative and professional approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Comfortable using modern accounting software; familiarity with CCH Sage or Xero advantageous.
  • Able to work independently while managing deadlines and priorities.

Benefits

Salary: 40000 - 50000
Holiday Allowance: 35 days of annual leave inclusive of bank holidays.
Pension Contributions: 3% employer contribution starting after 3 months of employment.
