Job Title: Data Analyst Lead

Job Function

To lead the enablement adoption and governance of an enterprise data platform by working closely with business teams to deliver impactful insights drive metric alignment and ensure data readiness for analytics and AI initiatives. This role requires deep expertise in Azure Synapse pipelines and Power BI Service along with strong leadership in data governance and semantic model development.

Responsibilities & Duties

Data Engineering & Analytics

• Lead collaboration with business teams to identify data sources KPIs and reporting requirements
  
• Manage ingestion of structured data using Azure Synapse pipelines
  
• Build dashboards reports and alerts in Power BI
  
• Develop publish and maintain Power BI semantic models including DAX measures incremental refresh and DirectQuery/composite models
  
• Administer Power BI Service including:
  • Tenant settings
    
  • Workspace & capacity management
    
  • Data gateway configuration
    
  • Deployment pipelines
    
  • RLS/OLS security
    
• Ensure governance consistency and secure selfservice analytics across teams
  
• Monitor performance and operational health of data warehouse and BI systems
  

AI & Advanced Analytics Readiness

• Partner with AI teams to ensure data availability quality and integration for AIdriven use cases
  
• Support data contracts and integration points with advanced analytics platforms
  

Business Collaboration & Enablement

• Define and maintain KPIs and standardized metrics
  
• Maintain a centralized KPI registry and business glossary
  
• Train and guide business users to selfserve using BI tools
  
• Support documentation stewardship and data governance activities
  
• Coordinate with IT teams on performance permissions and platform readiness
  

Data Governance (Client Info Removed & Neutralized)

• Establish and oversee data governance programs including roles and responsibilities
  
• Identify systems of record single sources of truth and data ownership
  
• Define and enforce data standards naming conventions and documentation guidelines
  
• Develop and support a network of data stewards and subject matter experts
  
• Monitor adherence to governance policies and ensure alignment with security and compliance needs
  

General

• Track and prioritize enhancement requests
  
• Promote consistent practices across departments
  
• Perform additional duties as assigned
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Information Systems Business Analytics Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  
• 36 years of experience with enterprise data platforms BI tools or analytics systems
  
• Expertise in Azure Synapse pipelines (formerly ADF)
  
• Expertise with Power BI Service including semantic model development and administration
  
• Experience defining KPIs and building dashboards for operational and strategic insights
  
• Strong SQL skills for querying and preparing structured datasets
  
• Understanding of data governance metadata and data quality frameworks
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with enterprise data modeling data catalogs and data lineage tools
  
• Handson experience with Microsoft Purview or similar platforms
  
• Understanding of data requirements for AI/ML and exposure to Azure AI or ML services
  
• Experience in regulated industries or environments with strict data controls
  
• Experience working in Agile or dataproductoriented teams
  
• Exposure to Microsoft Fabric (planning or migration experience)

• Proficiency in SQL for querying and transforming structured data
  
• Understanding of:

  • Metadata management
    
  • Data quality frameworks
    

Preferred Requirements

• Familiarity with enterprise data modeling data catalogs and data lineage tools
  
• Handson experience with platforms like Microsoft Purview
  
• Understanding of how data platforms support AI/ML applications
  
• Exposure to Azure AI services (Azure AI Foundry / Azure ML)
  
• Experience working in regulated or complex operational industries
