The Role:
Monitor performance of slot machines activity and conditions of casino slot areas ensuring all slot machines are operable and identified for repair as necessary. Create a memorable experience by providing excellent guest service. Promote the Ballys KC culture through actions and positive attitude.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a pleasant friendly and welcoming attitude toward all external and internal customers at all times.
- Be able to deal with high-volume customer interactions and be consistently outgoing upbeat and cheerful.
- Build guest relations throughout every shift by talking with customers making them feel welcome and comfortable and inviting them back.
- Observe all activity within assigned area offering assistance and instruction on machine functions and payouts to slot players.
- Know the various types of slot machines and be able to identify major malfunctions and to correct minor machine malfunctions.
- Identify jackpots to be paid and complete them accurately.
- Observe activity and report anything that could be associated with a particular slot cheating method.
- Be familiar with Title 31 guidelines and understand and utilize suspicious activity reports for casinos (SARC) when necessary.
- Handle routine customer complaints and incidents and exhibit the appropriate discretion to identify situations requiring the attention of supervisory personnel; seek to resolve all situations in a manner that maintains positive guest relationships.
- Ensure slot-playing guests are kept in play by providing friendly and helpful service at all interactions.
- Utilize open body language to guests on the casino floor while patrolling; politely speak with and assist guests as needed.
- Assist in maintaining a spotless casino by disposing of any cups glasses bottles or other items left on the floor by guests.
- Maintain monetary and paperwork accuracy and efficiency within department/property standards.
- Adhere to regulatory departmental and company policies in an ethical manner and encourage others to do the same.
- Use screwdriver hand-held radio and other slot-related tools and supplies.
- Have complete knowledge of all events and promotional activities.
- Ensure the safety and security of all guests and team members.
- Comply with all policies and procedures established by Ballys KC and departmental management.
- Perform other duties as assigned or reasonably requested by any member of management.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- One year of direct customer contact experience is preferred.
- Professionalism and excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Must be able to work any assigned shift including late nights weekends holidays and overtime.
- Read write and understand simple instructions.
- Communicate appropriately with all casino customers casino departments and fellow team members.
- Knowledge of basic slot machine functions and ability to troubleshoot.
- Ability to complete slot-related paperwork with a minimum of errors.
