Harborview Medical Center - Inpatient Rehabilitation Therapyhas an outstanding opportunity for aHospital Assistant / Rehab Therapy Aide.

WORK SCHEDULE

  • Per-Diem

  • Variable Shift


POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

  • Assist physical occupational and therapeutic recreation staff

  • This position provides opportunities to work in a diverse and fast-paced environment with a great team of therapists

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Orders and stocks equipment

  • Managing and organizing supply areas

  • Cleans and maintains equipment including but not limited to periodic monitoring safety inspection and regular cleaning maintenance and set up

  • Assisting clinical staff in miscellaneous tasks including record retrieval filing faxing photocopying arranging for interpreter services charge preparation and compilation

  • Direct patient care including ADLs exercise ambulating or positioning as directed by the therapy clinician and safety support during groups or patient treatment


REQUIREMENTS

  • Nursing Assistant-Registered (NAR) with the State of Washington

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • Six months experience involving customer service in a health care setting OR six months experience involving direct patient care OR equivalent education/experience

  • Valid American Heart Associations Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers upon hire
