Role summary
We are looking for a Frontend Engineering Manager to lead our Frontend Platform and Micro-Frontend architecture. This role owns frontend engineering outcomes end-to-end from platform strategy and architecture to delivery excellence quality and developer productivity.
You will manage and grow high-performing frontend teams define platform standards and partner closely with Product Design and Backend leaders to build scalable high-quality user experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & People Management
- Lead mentor and grow a team of frontend engineers
- Set clear technical and delivery expectations provide regular feedback and support career growth
- Build a strong engineering culture around ownership quality and continuous improvement
Frontend Platform Ownership
- Own the frontend platform vision and roadmap focusing on scalability performance and developer experience
- Define and evolve shared frontend foundations: design systems component libraries tooling and CI/CD pipelines
- Drive standardization while enabling team autonomy
Micro-Frontend Architecture
- Lead the design implementation and evolution of micro-frontend architecture
- Define best practices for module federation deployment independence versioning and cross-team integration
- Ensure seamless composition performance optimization and runtime stability across micro-frontends
Delivery & Outcomes
- Own end-to-end delivery outcomes from requirements and architecture to release monitoring and iteration
- Balance speed and quality through strong engineering practices (testing observability performance budgets)
- Partner with Product and Design to translate business goals into scalable frontend solutions
Technical Excellence
- Be hands-on at the architectural level; guide critical technical decisions and reviews
- Drive adoption of modern frontend technologies and patterns
- Proactively address frontend performance accessibility security and reliability
Required Qualifications
- 8 years of frontend engineering experience with 2 years managing frontend teams
- Strong experience building and scaling frontend platforms
- Proven hands-on expertise with micro-frontend architectures (e.g. Module Federation single-spa or equivalent)
- Deep knowledge of modern frontend stacks (React preferred) state management build systems and tooling
- Experience owning large-scale frontend systems used by multiple teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading platform teams serving multiple product teams
- Strong understanding of design systems and cross-functional collaboration with Design
- Experience in B2B or high-scale consumer products
- Exposure to performance optimization at scale
