DescriptionThe IT Asset Administrator provides Client Services support for TRU purchased and leased computer equipment.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the Leased Computer management process.
- Corresponds with vendors to establish desired specifications warranties software requirements and client requirements for leased or purchased computer equipment.
- Coordinates and directs the Managed Services providers to install equipment.
- Verifies lease schedules to ensure delivery serial numbers cost and length of lease are all correct so payment can be made to lease company. Corresponds with Lease Company to adjust any incorrect factors before lease is approved.
- Updates and maintains the TRU Inventory Leased/Purchased Data Base.
- Creates and assigns job tickets; directs when/where job is performed; provide direction to Desktop Support staff on the items to be installed.
- Completes purchases of hardware and software and completes the approved Credit Card monthly reconciliation process.
- Responsible to process all computer equipment and software orders by obtaining quotes processing WebReqs creating job tickets. Files invoices purchase requisitions packing slips etc.
- Prepares quarterly IDIs/charge backs to Finance for cost recovery.
- Performs the IT Services software inventory process.
- Handles all computer equipment/software returns and/or warranty issues.
- Provides clerical services and administrative support to the Division by booking physical facilities and equipment for meetings.

RequirementsEDUCATION:
- Grade 12 plus completion of a two-year diploma in a related field
EXPERIENCE:
- Three years experience in IT inventory management or related field including experience with:
- IT hardware and software leasing
- Overseeing managed services contractors
- Invoicing equipment chargebacks
SKILLS KNOWLEDGE OR ABILITIES RELATED TO THE JOB
- Ability to deal courteously and tactfully with internal stakeholders such as students and staff as well as external stakeholders and vendors
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with an emphasis on attention to detail
- Ability to organize and coordinate workload
- Ability to operate related IT and office equipment such as multi-functional devices
- Working knowledge of IT related policies and procedures
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Sitting at a desk and computer for long periods of time
- General office conditions
- Ability to lift weights up to 20 kg
