Production Operations Manager
THEROLE
We are currently seeking a Production OperationsManager passionate about meat deli and great local food to join our Productionteam! Previous experience supervising food production teams is required forthis position. The Production Operations Manager are responsible for overseeingthe production teams in our Meat and Deli Chop Shop to ensure all products meetour high standards for freshness and quality and provide excellent customerservice.
- Improving department profitability: Working in conjunction with the Retail OperationsManager and Procurement Manager to increase sales reduce waste and optimizeinventory levels.
- Improving gross margins and increasing salesvolume: You will review andunderstand pricing strategies supplier contracts and sales data to identifyproducts and services that increase profitability.
- Maintaining operational efficiency by maintaining full fresh displays limiting outof stock instances through strategic partnerships with suppliers and strongstaff training.
- Implementing and maintaining operational SOPs and checklists and driving operational efficiency betweendepartments is a key success factor in this position.
- Leading the Meat and Deli Chop Shop teams including hiring retaining and developing theteams as well as overseeing scheduling labour costs and ensuring the teamsare working optimally.

WHATYOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- Experience supervising food production teams inmulti site environments
- Proven ability to create and improve operationalprocesses through production efficiencies
- Prior meat and deli retail experience preferablyin retail or grocery operations setting would be an asset as would the abilityto cut meat
- Experience in price and buying negotiationmanaging product inventory and driving sales targets
- Experience in testing and the deployment of newproducts and recipes would be a strong asset
- Strong team leadership communication andorganizational skills are required
