Santa Fe South Charter Schools (SFS) is a free public charter network serving the south side of Oklahoma City for more than 20 years. Trinity Elementary opened in the school year and is a beautiful close-knit community school built on strong relationships high expectations and a deep commitment to student growth.
Trinity has previously served students in PreK2nd grade and is excited to expand to 3rd grade. This expansion role offers a unique opportunity to help establish a strong mathematics foundation and shape the culture systems and instructional practices of a growing campus.
Position Summary
The Third Grade Math Teacher is responsible for delivering rigorous standards-aligned mathematics instruction that ensures all students develop strong problem-solving computation and reasoning skills. This teacher will play a key role in supporting students as they transition into upper elementary expectations while contributing to Trinitys collaborative student-centered school culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality engaging math instruction aligned to Oklahoma Academic Standards
- Actively engage in Santa Fe Souths coaching model by seeking receiving and implementing feedback to continuously improve instructional practice
- Plan and internalize lessons with fidelity including preparing materials rehearsing instructional moves and aligning to content team expectations
- Collaborate regularly with grade-level and content teams to analyze student work plan instruction and ensure strong alignment across classrooms
- Use data to plan targeted instruction interventions and enrichment to meet diverse learner needs
- Establish a structured joyful and inclusive classroom environment with clear academic and behavioral expectations
- Build strong relationships with students families and colleagues
- Collaborate with instructional coaches and campus leadership to set goals and monitor professional growth
- Monitor student progress and communicate growth regularly with families
- Contribute to campus-wide initiatives and the continued development of Trinitys academic program
Qualifications
Required:
- Oklahoma teaching certification (or eligibility) in Elementary Education or Mathematics
- Bachelors degree from an accredited institution
- Commitment to Santa Fe Souths mission and the students and communities we serve
Preferred:
- Experience teaching mathematics in grades 24
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based math instruction and interventions
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills
- Experience working in diverse or high-need school communities
