Job Summary
We are hiring a talented Senior Solutions Engineer to join our team. If youre excited to be part of a winning team Obsidian Security is a great place to make an impact. A Senior Solutions Engineer is responsible for actively driving and managing the technical evaluation stage of the sales process and mentoring and building the team. You will work with the sales team to technically advise on the sales of Obsidian solutions and is a subject matter expert on SaaS security challenges and solutions. It is the Senior Solutions Engineers responsibility to partner with prospects in a technical and educational capacity throughout the sales cycle and be the advocate for the customer back to product management and engineering. Youll work closely with the leadership team to build out the rest of the extended team in the respective regions. The ideal candidate is aggressive collaborative and knowledgeable has worked in an offensive or defensive cybersecurity role and has strong software engineering abilities.This is a 100% remote role supporting the Central US region with with location preference in Chicago Minneapolis and St Louis.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining Obsidian solutions to prospective
and existing customers. - Partner internally and externally to assess security needs and to determine requirements and alignment of Obsidian solutions to prospect pain points.
- Conduct solution proof-of-value engagements to obtain technical wins.
- Conduct field reconnaissance to provide feedback and insights to product management and engineering.

A strong blend of communication abilities and technical skills to be the field-facing technical ambassador for Obsidian
Expert-level knowledge of cybersecurity especially Cloud and SaaS securityconcerns
Experience interacting with APIs integrations and middle-ware
Competitive and market intelligence reconnaissance abilities
Understanding of routes to market and ability to represent Obsidian with a widevariety of partnerships
Experience with cybersecurity solution stacks and how Obsidian iscomplementary or competitive
Presentation skills for crafting and delivering thought-leadership presentations atsecurity conferences and webinars
Willingness to travel depending on customer opportunities and role

Pay Transparancy
Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as well as the knowledge skills and experience of the addition to a competitive base salary this position is eligible for equity awards and may be eligible for sales commission or incentive compensation based on the role or function within the company.
