What Youll Be Doing

• Assist with the preparation and detonation of explosives.

• Work from a man basket at heights of 25 up to 50 performing hand scaling markup and face loading activities.

• Use a variety of hand and power tools.

• Handle and transport explosives safely.

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections of blasting equipment.

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures.

• Support the blasting team with various tasks as needed.

Conditions of Employment

• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination drug/alcohol screen and background check.

• Ability to pass a Bureau of Alcohol Tobaccoand Firearms background check

• Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.

Work Environment

• Role operates primarily in an underground mine where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment and elevated noise level.
