- Length: Summer - 12 weeks
- Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week)
- Start date: June 1 2026
- Location: MSP International Airport Terminal 1
JOB SUMMARY
The Airside Intern will shadow team members on and off the airfield assist with operational tasks and support department projects. The intern will learn about how aircraft movements ground handling fueling and airfield maintenance activities are coordinated to ensure safe and efficient operations for our stakeholders.

Position Description
JOB DUTIES
Observe and assist airfield inspection process to include use of Cityworks Respond
Answer phones and radios and relay relevant information to airfield personnel and stakeholders
Operate personal computers utilizing word processing electronic mail database spreadsheet and cloud-based software applications
Document airport in Cityworks Respond to ensure compliance with FAR Part 139 requirements
Assist with project research and surveys pertaining to FAR Part 139
Assist with issuance of NOTAMs and FICONS to support airfield personnel
Explore areas of interest and career options through site visits and job shadowing other departments
Complete special projects as requested by Airside Management
Participate in department training programs required under FAR Part 139
Perform other duties as assigned
Position Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program OR be a recent graduate (within 12 months from posting date) in aviation management airport administration or related program.
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge of airport operations.
- Knowledge of relevant Federal and State statutes and regulations pertaining to airport operations.
- Currently a Junior or Senior in Bachelors degree program
