Production Superintendent Memphis
Manages all activities associated with the production department for the Facility. Responsibilities include cost efficiency continuous improvement of processes service and safety for an entire production area across all shifts. The Production Superintendent will lead a team of hourly associates and salaried team members.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
and implements effective production department planning policies and procedures.
with Plant Management to develop goals and objectives.
in developing and implementing department procedures and ensures that they support Companywide strategic objectives.
expert knowledge for all positions on production floor.
all company policies and procedures are followed.
responsibility for the efficient timely and accurate completion of Production functions.
problems and resolves them quickly and effectively.
related reports and records as assigned.
that production functions are completed in accordance with established production safety and quality standards.
operational output (i.e. efficiency yield loss product quality inventory accuracy transactional accuracy) anticipating and correcting trends which would compromise achievement of financial targets.
production plans on a shift-by-shift basis to prevent service issues and operational inefficiencies.
supervises assigned personnel ensuring optimal performance.
and advises employees on current daily needs and production methods. Leads personnel to improve performance and productivity.
the personnel schedule and assess staffing needs.
leadership through goal setting delegation and communication
with personnel decisions including performance appraisals hiring terminations wage decisions and promotions.
Empires culture of respect for all employees motivate correct and challenge personnel with a positive approach.
effective communication coordination and working relations with Company personnel and management.
cross-functionally to solve operational issues.
business changes while minimizing impact on people.
an open dialogue with assigned team and Plant Manager.

assume other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree in Business or related field or 3 5 years of operational management experience in a manufacturing environment
Safety SQF GMP and HACCP training/certifications
Previous experience understanding budgeting/expense management with a basic understanding of financial and accounting practices.
Ability to prepare spreadsheets and use Microsoft Office Products (Word Outlook Excel Power Point and/or Access) to analyze data and trends.
Experience using continuous improvement tools to drive improvement.
Experience enforcing safety rules and policies.
Ability to lead a team-based approach to decision making.
Demonstrated ability to work in a result-oriented challenging environment.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to get results through mentoring others.
Ability to speak read and write English
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
ACTIVITIES:
Standing walking bending lifting stooping crouching and kneeling intermittently
HEARING:
Must be able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.
REPETITIVE MOTION:
Must be able to frequently and regularly use wrists hands and or fingers.
VISUAL ABILITIES:
Average ordinary visual acuity is necessary to prepare or inspect documents products or operate machinery.
PHYSICAL STRENGTH:
Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds throughout the day.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be able to work for long hours in a no-kill food processing environment where it is wet damp and cold (non-weather related). Temperatures are frequently below freezing and employees are expected to remain in these conditions for most of their workdays.

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
  • Benefits: Vision Medical Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment
  • Paid Time Off: Vacation days and 6 company observed holidays
  • 401(k): Company match begins after the first year of service and follows the companys vesting schedule
  • Base salary range of ($90k - $121k)
