Job Summary

Implementation and administration of Network security controls and management strategies to maintain the confidentiality integrity availability accountability and compliance of the banks network information assets. Development and management of network security policies standards and procedures based on knowledge of best practises and compliance requirements Ensure that network security software and hardware are up to date and that security measures are in place to protect against outside threats. Also carries out other operational security activities to ensure that the organizations network is not compromised. Activities include administration and management of firewalls Internet gateways Internet based DDOS protection Internet traffic advertisement and filtering intrusion prevention and detection as well as ensuring that only secure network protocols permitted across the network. Configuration and administration of SSL VPNs (Remote access or Site-to-site) Troubleshoot technical application and network problems and provide remote support. Ensure that all incidents are responded to actioned and resolved within the required MTTR. Also ensure that calls are escalated and communicated to the required support teams and to management where required Design and Implement security protocols and procedures to protect the organizations systems and data Manage Core network devices for connectivity across network segments (e.g DMZInternet etc). Manage the network segmentation requirements across the organization and take responsibility for ensuring the required network controls are in place for maintaining the organizations PCIDSS certification Implement and Manage network connectivity with 3rd party partners over MPLS 2 network.

Key Responsibilities

Configure Install and Support all Network Security Infrastructure Outputs and measures
Responsible for administration of the firewall and monitoring of security tools
Security incident proactive monitoring and prevention
Stays current with technological changes that affect the security of the network computers and other equipment
Revenue generation and cost reduction
 


Qualifications :

Type of Qualification:  University First Degree

  • Field of Study: Information Technology
  • Other qualifications certifications or professional memberships: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) CCNA Security Certified in Cybersecurity 

Experience Required

  • Job Function: Information Technology
  • Job Family: Network Security or Network Management
  • Years: 3-7 Years Experience Description: IT security Experience/ communication or Network experience.
  • Expert Knowledge of a variety of network management tools test equipment circuits and routers Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP protocol stacks and firewall security in an inter-networking environment. Knowledge of quality of Service and experience designing/implementing QoS in an enterprise environment. Knowledge in checkpoint Cisco switches and routers
