Job Description:

Position : Principal Electrical Engineer (Controls & Power Systems)

Location : Houston TX

Duration: 12 months - Contract to Full time

Core Skills Required to Perform the Role

• Electrical system design for mobile equipment

• Controls engineering (PLC/embedded controls sensors actuators)

• Power system design (power distribution protection grounding

• Ability to develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs)

• Design verification using empirical and analytical method

• Application of industry standards (IEC IEEE UL ISO API as applicable)

• Risk assessment and risk mitigation planning

• Implementation of new technologies in electronic system design

• Strong technical documentation and design review skills

• Cross-disciplinary collaboration and mentoring

• Self-starter with ability to work independently under broad direction

• Detail-oriented especially in design verification safety and documentation

• Experience supporting process improvement initiatives

Education Requirement

• Minimum: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline

• Preferred: Masters or Doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering or similar

• Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience

Required / Preferred Certifications

• SafeLand USA (commonly required for oil & gas environments)

• H2S Awareness (preferred/required depending on exposure)

• Electrical safety training (e.g. NFPA 70E) preferred
