Job Description:
Position : Principal Electrical Engineer (Controls & Power Systems)
Location : Houston TX
Duration: 12 months - Contract to Full time
Core Skills Required to Perform the Role
Electrical system design for mobile equipment
Controls engineering (PLC/embedded controls sensors actuators)
Power system design (power distribution protection grounding
Ability to develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs)
Design verification using empirical and analytical method
Application of industry standards (IEC IEEE UL ISO API as applicable)
Risk assessment and risk mitigation planning
Implementation of new technologies in electronic system design
Strong technical documentation and design review skills
Cross-disciplinary collaboration and mentoring

Self-starter with ability to work independently under broad direction
Detail-oriented especially in design verification safety and documentation
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Experience supporting process improvement initiatives
Ability to evaluate and manage technical and project risks
Leadership & Communication

Capability to represent the company at professional societies and conferences
Education Requirement
Minimum: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
Preferred: Masters or Doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
Required / Preferred Certifications
SafeLand USA (commonly required for oil & gas environments)
H2S Awareness (preferred/required depending on exposure)
Electrical safety training (e.g. NFPA 70E) preferred
