THE POSITION
The IT Analyst Principal (Project Manager) is a senior-level position within the Solano County IT Project Management Office (PMO)
emphasizing substantial experience in supervising and leading PMO staff and expertise in program and portfolio management. This pivotal
role encompasses overseeing the successful execution and delivery of complex projects across the organization while specifically directing
the PMO team.
The IT Analyst Principal (Project Manager) is also tasked with demonstrating advanced and expert-level technical proficiency leadership
acumen and project management skills. This includes effectively guiding cross-functional teams comprising vendors technical experts and
business stakeholders while also providing direct supervision and mentorship to PMO staff.
Beyond project oversight this role assumes a critical responsibility for managing vendor performance and ensuring that project outcomes

Experienced IT PMO Supervisor skilled in establishing PMO standards policies and governance frameworks that align with organizational
goals ensuring project success and continuous improvement across the portfolio.
Experienced IT PMO Supervisor responsible for building a high-performing project management team through mentorship skills
development and clear role alignment.
Proven experience in IT project management with a track record of successfully leading and delivering complex projects within a fast paceddynamic environment.
Extensive knowledge and expertise in project management methodologies such as Agile Waterfall and Hybrid and proficiency in tools
like ServiceNow Jira and MS Project.
Comprehensive understanding of program and portfolio management principles with a track record of overseeing multiple projects and
aligning them with organizational goals.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to influence and build strong relationships with stakeholders
at all levels.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and provide innovative solutions.

Education: Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university preferably in Information Technology or related field.
Experience: Six (6) years of information technology systems and/or application development and support experience including two (2) years of project lead or supervisory responsibility.
Note: Additional experience may substitute on a year for year basis for the educational requirement.
