Right now we are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive accountant to support the effective foundations of financial control across Suncorp New this role youll play a key part in ensuring day-to-day financial transactions are accurately reflected in both financial and regulatory reporting while helping to embed a robust Balance Sheet control environment.

Working collaboratively across the CFO team youll contribute to strong governance continuous improvement and high-quality financial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Complete assigned balance sheet reconciliations.
Support account owners and finance team members reconciliations.
Perform analytical reviews to support balance sheet substantiation.
Report on reconciliation status outstanding items and resolution plans.
Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement.

About You

You are a collaborative finance professional with strong attention to detail and a passion for financial control. You enjoy working in a team environment take ownership of your work and are comfortable working across systems processes and stakeholders.

Youll bring:

A business-related degree and CA/CPA (or equivalent) qualification or relevant practical experience (mandatory).
At least 1 year of post-qualification experience gained within the financial services industry (desirable)
Solid knowledge of accounting principles audit processes and general ledger systems.
Strong Excel skills and the ability to interpret accounting standards and relevant legislation.
A continuous improvement mindset and a proactive solutions-focused approach.
