This role offers the opportunity to lead the production lifecycle of high-complexity components ensuring engineering designs are successfully transformed into physical products. Responsibilities include:
- Technical Analysis: Evaluate engineering drawings customer PO requirements and technical specifications to determine the most cost-effective production methods.
- Documentation & Tooling: Design and develop detailed operation sheets work instructions and specialized tooling or fixtures to support production.
- Quality Assurance: Interpret and apply customer quality standards and inspection requirements ensuring all GD&T specifications are met.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization to reduce cycle times minimize waste and improve part consistency.
- Troubleshooting: Provide real-time technical support on the shop floor to resolve machining issues or assembly bottlenecks.
- Vendor Liaison: Coordinate with outside service providers for specialized processes such as heat treating plating or coating to ensure compliance with engineering specs.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Must have a comprehensive understanding of CAD and working with CAD drawings. Autodesk products a plus.
- Must have min 5 years experience as manufacturing engineer CNC programmer or estimator.
- Experience with engineering drawings specifications GD&T and close tolerance manufacturing processes.
- Bachelors degree in engineering required
