Job Summary
We are seeking a Project Scheduler to support Nuclear Projects in Richland Washington. This position is posted at multiple levels with only one position to be filled. Candidates will be submitted at the level they best qualify for.
The Project Scheduler is responsible for developing maintaining and integrating project schedules to support on-line work refueling outages life-cycle projects and enterprise risk initiatives. This role partners closely with Project Managers to ensure schedules are accurate compliant and aligned with station procedures maintenance rules and technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules (date time sequence) for Nuclear and Engineering Projects.
- Perform schedule maintenance and integration between Passport and Primavera scheduling tools.
- Support Project Managers in developing schedules for on-line work refueling outages and life-cycle projects.
- Maintain schedule integrity and resolve conflicts related to schedule adherence.
- Develop and implement scheduling methodologies aligned with industry best practices.
- Support biennial refueling outage scheduling activities.
- Develop out-year schedules for projects of varying size and complexity.
- Ensure schedules are timely accurate and support effective risk management.
Role Distinction Level
Project Scheduler
- Develops and maintains project and outage schedules with minimal oversight.
- Supports lifecycle and outage schedules while ensuring compliance with station procedures.
- Maintains schedule integrity and supports work management and outage processes.
- Education & Experience: (Candidates must meet one of the following)
- Bachelors degree in a technical field (Mechanical Electrical Nuclear Engineering or Nuclear Technology) and 5 years of nuclear power generation experience
- Associates degree in a technical field and 7 years of nuclear power generation experience
- High school diploma or GED and 9 years of nuclear power generation experience in a journey-level craft qualified watch station field engineering or quality control role.
- PMP certification desired but not required.
Senior Project Scheduler
- Independently develops and manages complex multi-project schedules including enterprise risk initiatives.
- Resolves complex schedule conflicts and performs critical path and risk analysis.
- Leads schedule review meetings post-work critiques and cross-functional schedule integration efforts.
- Provides advanced expertise in Primavera Passport and outage risk management tools.
- Education & Experience: (Candidates must meet one of the following)
- Bachelors degree in a technical field (Mechanical Electrical Nuclear Engineering or Nuclear Technology) and 8 years of nuclear power generation experience
- Associates degree in a technical field and 10 years of nuclear power generation experience
- High school diploma or GED and 12 years of nuclear power generation experience in a journey-level craft qualified watch station field engineering or quality control role.
- PMP certification required.
Abilities and Skills
- Proficiency with Primavera scheduling software and Passport or similar work management systems.
- Knowledge of nuclear work control outage planning and maintenance scheduling processes.
- Ability to analyze and resolve schedule conflicts including critical path and risk impacts.
- Experience developing schedule reports and supporting risk management activities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
