We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Aftermarket Business Development Manager to lead our aftermarket sales strategy and operations across Southeast Asia. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth from spare parts services repairs and upgrades within our installed base. This role requires a strategic leader who can build strong customer relationships manage a high-performing team and significantly contribute to the regions profitability and customer loyalty.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Business Development:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive aftermarket sales strategy for the Southeast Asia region to achieve and exceed annual revenue and profitability targets.
- Identify and capitalize on new aftermarket sales opportunities within the existing customer base and explore new market segments.
- Analyze market trends competitor activity and customer needs to inform strategic planning.
Team Management & Performance:
- Lead motivate and develop a team of aftermarket sales professionals and support staff.
- Set clear performance objectives (KPIs) monitor progress and provide coaching to ensure team success.
- Foster a culture of high performance accountability and continuous improvement.
Customer Relationship & Account Management:
- Build and maintain strategic long-term relationships with key customers and distributors.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty by understanding their aftermarket needs and ensuring timely effective service delivery.
- Oversee the resolution of major customer issues and escalations.
Operational Excellence:
- Collaborate closely with the service operations and supply chain teams to ensure seamless order fulfilment inventory management and service delivery.
- Develop and implement pricing strategies promotional campaigns and sales programs for aftermarket products and services.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts budgets and management reports.
Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure all activities comply with company policies ethical standards and local regulations.
- Provide regular reports on sales performance market insights and strategic initiatives to senior management.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Engineering Marketing or a related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of proven sales experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the aftermarket/service parts sector of a relevant industry (e.g. industrial manufacturing automotive HVAC heavy machinery).
- Demonstrated experience managing B2B sales across multiple countries in Southeast Asia.
- Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in a major Southeast Asian language (e.g. Bahasa Indonesia/Malaysia Thai Vietnamese) is a strong advantage.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the region (approximately 50%).
Desirable:
- MBA or other advanced degree.
- Technical background or understanding of mechanical/electrical products.
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce) and data analytics.
