The Track Equipment Assembly Technician plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by assembling testing and ensuring the quality of track equipment components. This position requires meticulous attention to detail to guarantee that all assemblies meet stringent durability and safety standards. The technician will collaborate closely with engineering and quality assurance teams to troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. The role demands a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately. Ultimately the technician ensures that finished products are reliable and ready for deployment in demanding operational environments.
Responsibilities:
Assemble track equipment components according to detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
Perform quality checks and functional tests on assembled equipment to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
Identify and troubleshoot assembly issues collaborating with engineering and quality teams to implement corrective actions.
Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency in the manufacturing environment.
Document assembly processes and report any deviations or defects to supervisors promptly.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in mechanical assembly or manufacturing preferably in durable goods or heavy equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions.
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools used in assembly processes.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical certification or vocational training in mechanical assembly or related fields.
