Description of Work

Salary Grade and Salary Range: NC09 - $39671 - $69426
Management prefers applicants with the following:
Working knowledge of the operation and maintenance of ferry vessels.
Demonstrated ability to ensure NCDOT Ferry Division polices are communicated applied and enforced. (i.e. safety accounting operational regulatory and administrative)
Experience in planning organizing delegating creating schedules and budgets.
Experience scheduling and communicating with and dispatch ferry crews work crews equipment or equipment vehicles to appropriate locations according to specifications or safety needs.
Knowledge of all applicable USCG rules and regulations that directly impact ferry operations.
Additional Expectations:
Possession of Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
Minimum Education and Experience

Associates degree from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of experience in office management or related administrative work; or
High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma with six years of experience in office management or related administrative work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
