The City of Jefferson is currently accepting applications for aParks& Recreation Intern. This 12 week internship program is based out of the Parks& RecreationDepartment administrative office and rotates around various areas to assist with various park related projects and programs.
Interns will be introduced through an internship to all facets of the Parks& Recreation Department.
Physical: Ability to sit for extended periods at a computer; lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs.; traverse rough terrain; and work in extreme weather conditions.
Mental: Ability to operate various office machinery and computer; establish and maintain effective working relationships; prioritize and organize work; work with public in a calm and efficient manner; manage multiple tasks; understand and carry out oral and written instructions; and communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
Intern minimum qualifications include graduate or undergraduate student in an NRPA accredited college or university parks and recreation program assigned by the school to a fieldwork experience for academic credit.
Intern hourly wage is $15.00.
