Wakuli. Impacting the world with exciting coffee.
While consumers are paying too much for low-quality coffee farmers are earning below what they need to sustain their livelihoods. Thats why we are all about selling the best coffee not just in taste but also in fair pay for the farmers we work with. Our beans are traceable to the farm and poured by us in your cup or freshly delivered at home through your mailbox. We are a no-nonsense ambitious scale-up with a profound mission: impacting the world with exciting coffee.
In 2025 Wakuli presented our theory of change describing what we do and how different pathways lead to the change we aim for in the coffee industry. This is Wakulis Blueprint for Industry Change. It covers three main areas: customers farmers and the planet. It is in those areas that we measure our impact.
In general you will support the sourcing and impact team to gather data and roll out impact related activities in these three areas with an emphasis on farmer and planet.
Our regenerative model in practice
Wakuli will roll out a brand new regenerative coffee model developed by Wakuli and Bain & Company for measuring and improving farmers income as well as biodiversity and soil health through regenerative will support the impact manager to finetune and roll out the Bain & Company reg ag model and apply it to our running regenerative activities. You will manage the collection of data from field work as well as more generic data from all our partnerships.
Living income
Wakuli aims to close the living income gap that coffee farmers still experience in a lot of places. The information about what amounts to a living income is not always clear or even available. Despite that Wakuli aims to define a clear approach regarding living income reference prices for the coffee we source working in several programs and tapping from an expert network of consultants and NGOs with expertise. You will support with desk research interviews and potential partnerships to get more grip on the theme of living income prices for green coffee paid to farmers.
Origin risk assessments/due diligence policy
We aim to revisit our responsible Business Conduct risk assessment for all of our partnerships. You will support with setting up a template doing desk research for each origin and interview our partners to verify and contextualise the assumptions from desk research.
Besides these impact areas you will be part of a dynamic team where each day will bring surprises: last minute work support within the impact team or in other areas of the organisation. This is what makes Wakuli an exciting place to work and requires some flexibility and a can-do attitude from you.
