The Certified Social Worker will provide social work services within a healthcare setting. This role involves direct patient care collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and documentation in an electronic medical record system. The position requires a Bachelors degree in Social Work (BSW) and experience with EPIC charting.

This role involves direct patient care collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and documentation in an electronic medical record system. Responsibilities:
- Assist patients in their routine activities of daily living.
- Perform range of motion exercises.
- Ambulate patients.
- Position patients and provide skin care.
- Distribute linen and change beds as needed.
- Assist with feeding and meal delivery.
- Assist with routine hygiene care including toileting and incontinent care as well as appropriate oral and personal hygiene.
- Obtain urine stool and sputum specimens and processes specimens as needed.
- Obtain and record health weights vital signs including pulse oximetry and pain assessment and I&O.
- Communicate patient status and reports changes in patient condition to licensed professional.
- Perform incentive spirometry.
- Transport patients.
- Prepare for diagnostic tests.
- Assist rehab therapists (PM & R).
- Perform pulse oximetry/oxygen set up in oxygen therapy.
- Prepare rooms (supplies).
- Provide post mortem care.
- Prepare for admission and discharge.
- Assist nurses in emergency situations.
- Maintain and clean equipment.
- Perform suction (oral naso pharynx).
- Perform blood sugar finger sticks.
- Remove IV catheters per licensed nurse instruction.
- Perform EKGs (department specific responsibility).
- Answer unit phones and direct calls accordingly.
- Perform data entry into electronic medical database systems.
- Document patient care and related duties appropriately.
- Perform selected patient registration activities.
- Coordinate equipment/supply needs.
- Notify appropriate department of equipment malfunction.
- Perform any other related duties (e.g. clerical technical duties) as assigned.

- Contract length: 8 weeks with possible extension.
