Job Title: Infrastructure Project Manager
Location: New York NY Remote
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification
Duties & Responsibilities 1. Project Planning and Execution - Develop maintain and manage comprehensive project plans including timelines milestones and deliverables.
- Lead project execution to ensure tasks are completed on schedule and within approved budgets.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage project change control processes ensuring scope timeline and budget changes are properly documented and approved.
- Record decisions and maintain a centralized project documentation repository.
- Develop project trackers dashboards and presentations using Visio PowerPoint and Excel for stakeholders at all organizational levels across CUNY.
2. Risk Management and Issue Resolution - Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize potential impact.
- Monitor track and proactively address risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Resolve project issues and escalate to senior leadership when necessary.
3. Budget Management - Track monitor and report project expenditures to ensure compliance with approved budgets.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities to optimize project spending.
4. Stakeholder Communication and Reporting - Prepare and deliver regular project status reports including updates on progress risks and issues.
- Facilitate effective communication among project teams stakeholders and external partners to ensure transparency and alignment.
- Convene and lead steering committee meetings including weekly project meetings and ad-hoc sessions as required.
5. Team Leadership and Collaboration - Provide tactical direction to project teams to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment that encourages open communication and knowledge sharing.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams campus IT departments and subject matter experts to ensure successful project delivery.
6. Technical Expertise and Guidance - Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of network architecture IP address management and the design of a shared intranet environment.
- Lead technical planning and execution meetings particularly for server workload migrations in collaboration with SMEs and campus IT teams.
Mandatory Qualifications 1. Technical Background - Comprehensive understanding of enterprise network architecture including secure communication channels such as VPNs.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles including Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Proofpoint email security.
- In-depth understanding of IT infrastructure including networking virtualization and storage.
- Familiarity with enterprise platforms and technologies such as Cisco Systems VMware NetApp and Nutanix.
- Experience with IP address management (IPAM) including managing IP scope changes across multiple campuses.
- Proven experience managing server migrations including planning execution troubleshooting and validation.
- Ability to document system designs configurations and operational procedures to support efficient infrastructure management.
2. Project Management - High proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications including Project Teams Outlook Word PowerPoint Visio and advanced Excel.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and infrastructure designs.
- Experience developing and executing project plans for university-wide network infrastructure implementations.
- Experience managing projects involving 20 50 stakeholders.

Collaboration and Communication - Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with university stakeholders including unit staff administrators faculty students technical staff and SMEs.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to facilitate discussions articulate requirements and deliver presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
