We are looking for:SurgeryVeterinaryAssistant

Proposed Schedule: 9a-7p 4 rotating days per week plus on call rotation for weekends weekdays and holidays

Our Surgery team is a fast-paced environment perfect fortechnicians that are looking for training in multiplefacetsof the department and interaction with the other teams in the hospital. This team requiresstrong communicationskillstoliaison between surgeons and clients and deliverpost-operative careinstructions.

Whatyoulldo:

Manage appointmentsobtainpatienthistories medical record keeping invoicing patient dischargesetc

Fill medications enter charges andmaintainaccuratemedical records scheduleappointments

Create patient releases navigate client conversations around treatment plans and financialobligations

Prep patientsfor surgery including shavingscrubbingand positioningassistwith intubation andradiographs

Proficiently perform blooddrawsandsubmitbloodwork

Ensure documentation isaccurateandcomplete

Opening turning over and cleaning operating rooms as well as cleaning instruments and wrapping packs

Who are you:

Prior veterinary experienceprevioussurgeryexperiencedesired

Proficientincalculations(drugs constant rate infusions unit conversions etc.)

Flexibility with work hours and able to workadditionalhours whennecessary

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-pacedenvironment

Excellent verbal andwritten
