Help modernize and sustain mission-critical systems that support customers around the world. As a Software Engineer supporting Global Services Management and Value-Added Services you will play a hands-on role in system refresh initiatives lifecycle support and technical issue resolution across globally deployed platforms. Youll work at the intersection of systems programming automation Linux environments and emerging front-end and database technologies gaining broad exposure while building a strong engineering foundation.

What YOU will do:

You will develop maintain and troubleshoot software components using C/C and Python to support globally deployed service platforms.
You will support system refresh initiatives including software re-imaging patching configuration updates and hardware/software lifecycle upgrades.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps QA Field Service) to ensure system stability consistency and performance during upgrades and deployments.
You will automate routine maintenance and service tasks using Python and Bash scripting to improve efficiency and reliability.
You will analyze logs debug issues and resolve incidents impacting global customers and service teams.
You will contribute to front-end development automated testing and database-related work expanding your technical breadth.
You will create and maintain technical documentation to support deployment troubleshooting and operational teams.
You will participate in code reviews testing and CI processes supporting continuous improvement and software quality.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years prior relevant experience
Proficiency in C/C and Python
Solid understanding of Linux operating systems shell scripting and basic system administration
Familiarity with version control tools such as Git
Strong analytical debugging and troubleshooting skills
Effective communication and collaboration abilities

Qualifications We Prefer:

Experience with system provisioning or configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible Puppet)
Understanding of networking fundamentals and hardware/software interfaces
Exposure to global service platforms or international teams
Knowledge of database architecture and maintenance

The salary range for this role is 62900 USD - 119700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
