Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to play a key role in our finance department. Reporting to the FP&A Manager this position is responsible for overseeing the general ledger acting as the primary liaison with our outsourced accounting team and CPA firm coordinating the financial statement review and coordinating the preparation of tax returns. This role is instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for our outsourced accounting team facilitating effective communication and coordination of financial activities.
- Oversee and manage the general ledger ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Collaborate closely with the CPA firm in coordinating the financial statement review and preparation of financial statements tax returns and other compliance documents.
- Assist the FP&A Manager in financial reporting budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
- Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the FP&A Managers attention.
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
- Provide input into departments goal setting process.
- Prepare documentation for external auditors and participate in audits.
- Keep abreast of latest developments in accounting regulations and best practices.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong understanding of accounting principles financial statements and tax returns.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office especially Excel. Experience with Sage Intacct a plus.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to interact with various departments and external partners.
- Ability to work independently manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in accounting Finance or related field; CPA is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of accounting experience preferably in a healthcare or related industry.

- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

- You will alert management immediately of any expected system or data compromises and/or system failure impacting the security confidentiality availability and integrity of Ally Medical and customer data.
- You will be required to attend an annual Information Security Awareness Training.
