Senior Revenue Accountant Job Summary
Location: Palo Alto CA (Hybrid 3 days onsite)
Job Type: Contract (Immediate Start)
Role Overview:
The Senior Revenue Accountant plays a direct role in ensuring accurate compliant and audit-ready revenue accounting processes. This hands-on position is responsible for collections revenue close validations and rebate accounting while supporting critical projects that enhance revenue operations. The position requires strong technical accounting knowledge proficiency with relevant systems and the ability to independently manage deliverables in a high-paced environment.
Skills Emphasized:
- 5 years revenue accounting or accounts receivable experience
- Bachelor s in Accounting or Finance
- In-depth ASC 606 and SOX compliance knowledge
- Advanced NetSuite and Excel proficiency
- Collections management
- Salesforce experience
- Strong communication (written verbal)
- Audit-ready SOX workpaper preparation
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute monthly close activities in NetSuite: journal entries reconciliations close deliverables
- Maintain accurate audit-ready SOX control workbooks and validate input data
- Prepare contract and deal summaries per ASC 606 standards
- Support AR management and forecasting
- Assist in quarterly AR and revenue footnote preparation ensuring schedule-to-ledger accuracy
- Provide financial reporting support with detailed schedules
- Engage in user acceptance testing for new products and validate post-launch data
- Collaborate to streamline Order-to-Cash cycle and resolve billing issues
- Participate in revenue accounting and process improvement projects
- Contribute to ad-hoc projects with a proactive learning approach
