BMS Engineer

Position Title: BMS Engineer

Location: Singapore

Your role

We are looking for an experienced Controls / BMS Engineer to work closely with our EMEA- and US-based teams across the APAC region (Japan South Korea Singapore Hong Kong Indonesia Australia and India).

The successful candidate must have proven capability in the design project management testing and commissioning system integration of HVAC control systems and Building Management Systems (BMS). The ability to work independently provide technical leadership and act as a regional Subject Matter Expert (SME) is expected.

A strong understanding of HVAC plant systems including chiller plant controls as well as electrical infrastructure such as transformers generators and associated equipment is essential.

A good knowledge of power and energy metering in the data center domain is required. The candidate must be able to understand and apply PUE WUE CUE and other efficiency calculations.

An expert-level working knowledge of at least two BMS platforms is preferred with Schneider EcoStruxure Building Operation ideally being one of them.

Strong system integration experience is mandatory. The candidate must be proficient in interrogating and integrating multiple devices using open protocols such as Modbus TCP/RTU. Knowledge of system level integrations such as web services APIs MQTT is considered a strong advantage.

A working knowledge of DCIM services including how data is published consumed and integrated with BMS platforms is required.

A good level of IP networking and Windows Server expertise is required.

What youll do

• Provide technical leadership for BMS and controls systems across APAC sites
• Contribute to the development implementation verification and enforcement of engineering policies procedures and standards
• Lead BMS projects of varying size and complexity from a controls and integration perspective
• Ensure local activities align with regional and global standards
• Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders including design and construction regional and local operations vendors consultants and customers
• Identify risks and recommend system-level improvements to enhance reliability and performance
• Perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and assess suitability of components for deployment
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert for BMS training internal and external stakeholders
• Participate in customer meetings as the BMS SME including requirements gathering and technical issue resolution
• Support customer RFQs and technical inquiries related to BMS

What youll need

• Diploma degree or relevant qualification in Controls BMS Automation or equivalent professional experience
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in control system design integration commissioning or lifecycle management with strong emphasis on controls
• Proven experience working in data center environments
• Seasoned professional capable of regional travel as required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good judgment in selecting tools and methods
• Experience with multiple BMS platforms
• Knowledge of MQTT RESTful APIs or modern data integration architectures
• Experience standardizing BMS deployments across multi-site or multi-country portfolios
