Job Summary
Job Description: Java Android App Developer
Location: ON Location (Mumbai)
Experience: 1-2 Years (can be adjusted)
Role Overview: We are looking for a skilled Android App Developer to design develop and maintain high-performance Android applications. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Java and/or Kotlin hands-on knowledge of Android SDK and the ability to work with APIs third-party SDKs and modern Android architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design develop and maintain Android applications using Java and/or Kotlin
- Work with Android SDK Android Studio and Gradle
- Integrate REST APIs third-party SDKs and services (e.g. IoT / device SDKs)
- Implement RecyclerView custom UI components and animations
- Optimize app performance memory usage and UI responsiveness
- Handle background tasks threading and lifecycle management
- Debug issues fix crashes and improve app stability
- Collaborate with product managers backend teams and designers
- Follow best coding practices write reusable and maintainable code
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Android development
- Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin
- Good understanding of Android lifecycle services broadcast receivers
- Experience with RecyclerView Adapters ViewHolder patterns
- Familiarity with MVVM / MVP / Clean Architecture
- Experience using REST APIs (JSON Retrofit/OkHttp)
- Knowledge of threading (Handlers Executors Coroutines)
- Experience with Git version control
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
Good to Have (Preferred Skills):
- Experience with IoT / Smart Home / Device SDKs (e.g. Tuya BLE MQTT)
- Knowledge of Bluetooth / BLE / Wi-Fi device integration
- Experience with Room DataStore SharedPreferences
- Familiarity with Jetpack components (LiveData ViewModel Navigation)
- Exposure to Firebase (Crashlytics Analytics FCM)
- Understanding of Play Store deployment & app signing
- Knowledge of ProGuard / R8
