We offer competitive compensation and an extraordinary benefits package including health dental and vision insurance 401K with company matching flexible spending accounts paid holidays three weeks paid time off and Functions Responsibilities & Duties may include but are not limited to:Provides expert-level leadership and strategic direction in IT architectural engineering and cybersecurity for the Defense Health Agencys complex and expansive network as the principal authority responsible for designing implementing and overseeing the overall IT and security architecture across DHAs global network of military hospitals medical clinics and dental the development and continuous evolution of DHAs enterprise IT and security architecture ensuring alignment with DoD cybersecurity requirements Risk Management Framework (RMF) NIST guidelines and various DoD strategies including Zero Trust ICAM Digital Modernization and Cybersecurity Reference the implementation of these architectures across approximately 250000 end-user devices 3000 physical and virtual servers and 250 sites the design and implementation of advanced enterprise-wide security solutions including next-generation firewalls intrusion detection/prevention systems SIEM platforms and zero trust seamless integration of these solutions within DHAs complex IT initiatives to modernize and secure DHAs IT infrastructure including cloud migration strategies software-defined networking implementations and advanced data protection architectural road maps that balance security performance scalability and high-level strategic guidance to DHA leadership on cybersecurity matters including risk management emerging threats and long-term security with executive stakeholders to align IT and security architecture with overall organizational objectives and to secure necessary resources for critical infrastructure and security cross-functional teams in developing and implementing comprehensive security frameworks that address the unique challenges of DHAs healthcare IT includes strategies for securing medical devices protecting patient data and ensuring the availability of mission-critical the development of security standards policies and procedures that govern the design implementation and operation of DHAs IT these standards are consistently applied across all architectural enterprise-wide security assessments including advanced threat modeling architectural reviews and strategic vulnerability management executive-level insights on the organizations security posture and oversees the development and execution of strategic remediation efforts to integrate security controls and best practices into all phases of the systems development the adoption of DevSecOps practices and other modern security paradigms within DHAs IT development and operations with other senior IT leaders to ensure that IT architectural decisions support and enhance DHAs overall mission taking into account factors such as interoperability compliance and future scalabilityRepresents DHA in high-level inter-agency cybersecurity and IT architecture forums. Serves as the primary liaison with DoD cybersecurity authorities on strategic architectural matters and participates in shaping DoD-wide IT and security and develops the next generation of IT architects and cybersecurity leaders within DHA fostering a culture of innovation continuous learning and security at the forefront of emerging technologies and cybersecurity trends directing pilot programs to evaluate and adopt cutting-edge solutions that can enhance DHAs IT capabilities while maintaining a robust security :Masters degree in Computer Science Cybersecurity Information Systems or a related field. Ph.D. certifications (e.g. CISSP TOGAF SABSA or equivalent) are -level certifications in relevant technologies and architectural frameworks are highly :15 years of progressive experience in IT architecture and cybersecurity with at least 10 years in senior leadership roles managing enterprise-level IT and security have a proven track record of designing and implementing comprehensive IT and security architectures in large complex environments preferably within DoD or healthcare experience in strategic planning risk management and leading large-scale IT transformation initiatives is :Ability to obtain a public trustOur Equal Employment Opportunity PolicyThe company is an equal opportunity employer.
