Technical Sales Engineer
SmarAct Inc. is a small but rapidly growing US subsidiary of SmarAct Group with headquarters in Germany.
Dedicated to highest precision motion control SmarAct develops piezo-based high performance micro- and nanopositioners advanced control systems laser interferometers and microtools for cutting-edge research and high-tech industries.
Job description:
To cope with the increasing demand in the US market SmarAct Inc. is in need of a tech savvy Sales Engineerto work closely together with our team in Berkeley CA.
Responsibilities:
- Grow SmarAct Inc.s business in North America through - acquiring new customers and intensifying business relations with existing customers and - with existing and new products
- Selling our high-tech products to our customers in various industries (semiconductors photonics solid-state technology metrology basic research etc.)
- Providing professional technical advice to our customers and proposing solutions to their challenges
- Communication and co-ordination of customer requirements to the production site in Germany and monitoring of the production status
- Supporting customers in the implementation of the products
- Demonstrating our products during customer visits and at trade shows conferences and other events
- Enhance our products and business by contributing own product improvement suggestions
- Providing administrative support as needed (updating customer/supplier list reporting etc.)
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree Masters degree or PhD in physics engineering optics automation or materials science and ideally several years of relevant experience in industry
- Experience with scientific instrumentation and/or high-tech products
- Ability to quickly establish relationships with potential customers
- Strong solution selling skills
- Keen perception team player and willingness to work in an entrepreneurial and results-oriented culture
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English
