Temporary School Social Worker (LCSW #071 Endorsement Required)Location: Hamden CTSchedule: Full-Time- remaining School YearDuration: Begins with an overlap/shadowing period with full ownership coverage starting in FebruaryOverviewThe Childrens Center of Hamden is seeking a qualified Temporary School Social Worker to provide critical coverage during the School Social Work Managers maternity leave. This role requires an LCSW licensed in Connecticut and a valid #071 School Social Worker endorsement through the CT State Department of Education. The ideal candidate brings professional maturity strong clinical judgment and demonstrated supervisory experience as this position will also provide clinical supervision to the schools Social Work Responsibilities- Provide direct school-based social work services to students including crisis intervention counseling and case management.- Offer clinical supervision and guidance to school social workers to ensure high-quality compliant and student-centered practice.- Collaborate with teachers administrators clinicians and families to support student well-being and intervention planning.- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with state agency and school requirements.- Participate in an overlap/shadowing period with the School Social Work Manager to ensure smooth handoff and continuity of services.- Support district-wide behavioral and mental health initiatives and assist with team communication during the leave - Active Connecticut LCSW license (required)- CT #071 School Social Worker endorsement (required)- Prior supervisory or clinical leadership experience- Experience providing school-based mental health services strongly preferred- Strong communication collaboration and crisis-management skills
