Henry Carlson Construction a busy stable and growing Construction Manager at Risk Firm is seeking Safety Manager to join its team. The Safety Manager will assist in all areas of development and maintenance of a safe work environment within Henry Carlson Construction and its partner company Kybruz-Carlson Construction.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish and maintain meaningful professional relationships with employees jobsite Superintendents Foreman Project Managers and subcontractors.
- Conduct daily/weekly audits and inspections of jobsites and report / review findings with on-site project Superintendents and Foreman.
- Ensure site safety compliance in accordance with OSHA / MSHA Standards company policies and best practice.
- Follow up with safety reports and issue resolutions as needed.
- Work with other Safety Managers Project Managers and Superintendents to develop site specific risk management plans and emergency actions plans for each work site.
- Attend project pre-installation meetings with sub-contractors arriving on site to review both company general safety and site-specific safety issues.
- Participate in all-trade safety meetings on jobsites.
- Help Superintendents and Foreman to enforce safety rules for all employees subcontractors and site visitors.
- Assist with employee training and task performance evaluation.
- Assist with accident/incident root cause investigations.
- Actively participate in company safety committee.
- Investigate and report near misses.
- Stay current with industry trends training and technology
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
To perform the essential functions of this position individuals should demonstrate the following competencies:
Minimum of 2 years safety experience or the equivalent of education and experience. Experience in the construction industry is preferred.
Familiarity with or ability to learn construction safety regulations and standards.
Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships though effective communication teamwork and collaboration.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to handle crisis situations.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to present to large and small groups.
Knowledge of MS Office (Word Excel Outlook)
Dependabilitythe individual is consistently at work and on time follows instructions responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance.
Safety and securitythe individual follows safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
- Occasional overnight stay
