From time-to-time the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders hires licensed speech-language pathologists in part-time positions to supervise graduate students within one of our community partner sites.
Our needs vary with respect to specific clinical expertise and populations. We work in reciprocal partnerships to serve individuals with communication support needs who might not otherwise receive speech-language pathology services. We serve clients across the lifespan in their community across a range of areas including but not limited to: childhood speech and language development literacy cleft palate and craniofacial conditions autism and social communication bilingual populations (Spanish) brain injury stroke dementia voice and resonance and gender affirming communication. Previous experience with supervision of graduate students or clinical fellows strongly preferred.
Individual works closely with School of CSD faculty and off campus site personnel to implement speech-language pathology services in community-based settings on a part-time basis (2-3 days per week). Populations served varies depending on site assignment and individuals knowledge and experience. Individual provides clinical instruction and supervision to MS SLP students throughout clinical practicum experiences.
