Job Summary

Unit Role: Manage and support Personnel on Recovery Duty (PRD). Provide support to the wider Field Army in the management and administration of PRD to deliver the swiftest return to duty or supported transition to civilian life in order to maximise deployability in direct support to the Armys Main Effort.

Position Role: Provide welfare & recovery advice and support the provision of inclusive sport and adventurous training at the Battle Back Centre. Administer wider Battle Back activities for the recovery of PRD.

Responsibilities:
1. Provide welfare support and recovery advice to PRD whilst at the Battle Back Centre.
2. Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of Defence policy as it applies to PRD and
subsequently inform/advise Defence policy-makers as appropriate.
3. Liaise with PRUs and sS Recovery Officers to ensure maximum attendance on MAC and Skills Courses.
4. Deputise for OC Battle Back Centre (BBC) in their absence.
5. Develop maintain & support the Service Charity with the management of the Battle Back Centre.
6. Advertise the role of Battle Back internally across Defence and externally as appropriate and act as the link with DMRC and PRU.
7. 1st RO for E1 Centre Manager.
8. Be prepared to support Donnington Coy as an additional Personnel Recovery Officer managing a very small caseload of PRD if necessary.
