SUMMARY: This position requirestheProgram Director to lead workforce development initiatives of an American JobCenter (AJC) in Compton CA. TheProgram Directorwill lead strategic initiatives manage day-to-day operations and foster a positive environment within the center. This role requires a strong understanding of business management principlesexpertisein designing effective workforce programs and a provenrecord of accomplishmentin meeting performance benchmarks. The ideal candidate willpossessoutstanding communication and presentation skills and superior time management and organizational abilities. This position also demands a keen aptitude for change management and the execution of action plans to enhance program performance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Direct workforce services to enable the delivery system to be consistent with plans and attain the established program goals ensuring compliance with all local state federal lawsrulesand regulations.
- Provide general oversight and supervision to managers and functionally supervise all staff.
- Lead staff development efforts and continuing professional development initiatives.
- Participate in the recruitment interviewing hiring and training of all staff.
- Evaluate assigned employee performance prepare performance appraisals recommend and document disciplinary action.
- Ensure that a system of Performance Management is in place governing the tracking of individual and team KPIs.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with funders employers state and local partners organizations and businesses in the community.
- Orchestrate community events such as job in-person and virtual job fairs
- Represent KRA at conferences community events board meetings podcasts and social media.
- Oversee overall fiscal management for the projects/contracts assigned.
- Supervise internal and external audits.
- Preform other related duties as required and directed

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors degree education business administration or related field from an accredited college or university; Masters degree strongly preferred.
- A minimum of five (5) years of workforce development operations of employment and training programs required.
- A minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience required
- Experience working with adults in the workforce system and those disconnected from services
- Experience administering Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) programs.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Personal computer literacyrequired including effective use of the Internet e-mail video conferencing (ZoomTeams)andMicrosoft Office (Word ExcelPowerPointand Outlook).Ability tolearn and efficientlyutilizevarious case management software programs.
