Position SummaryThe Gear Centre Group of Companies is a leading provider of powertrain parts and service for the automotive heavy truck and off highway equipment industries and includes multiple well established organizations with branches across Canada and we want you to be part of our continued success!We are currently seeking a full-time motivated and experienced Parts Service Supervisor to join our parts department at our Fort McMurray Alberta OverviewThe Parts Service Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations related to parts inventory sales and distribution while ensuring compliance with company policies and standards. This role plays a key part in supporting customer satisfaction operational efficiency and business : Edmonton Gear Centre Information: Full-time permanent position Monday to Friday daytime 40 hoursStart Date: January 5 2026Work Environment: Combination of office and warehouse setting overseeing parts inventory sales and distribution operationsHourly Rate: $36.00 per hourLocation: Unit #129 215 MacDonald Crescent Fort McMurray AB T9H 4B5Language Competency: EnglishPrimary ResponsibilitiesSupervise staff in the parts department providing training support and performance feedbackMaintain accurate inventory levels monitor warehouse practices and oversee stock transfers between branchesCoordinate shipments to ensure timely product deliveryManage supplier relationships enforce warranty and credit policies and support business development initiativesPrepare cost estimates process sales transactions and provide customer service supportTrack competitor activities and market trends to inform decision-makingImplement quality control measures and contribute to continuous process improvementsEnsure compliance with workplace safety standards and company policiesCollaborate with other departments to streamline operations and enhance customer experienceGenerate and present reports on sales inventory trends and operational challenges to managementEnsure effective use of ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools for reporting analysis and communicationOther assigned tasks and responsibilities as required by the Branch ManagerQualificationsMinimum of 3-5 years of experience in parts operations inventory management or a related supervisory roleSupply Chain diploma or equivalent is requiredStrong knowledge of parts operations inventory management and distribution processesExperience working with ERP systems (preferably Infor) for inventory control purchasing and reportingProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook) and other computer applications related to inventory and reportingProven leadership skills with the ability to supervise train and motivate employeesExcellent communication problem-solving and customer service skillsStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesFamiliarity with warranty procedures credit policies and workplace safety regulations is an assetConfident and positive demeanorFor the Right Candidate We Offer: Competitive Wages and remuneration packageCareer Advancement Opportunities Rewarding team environmentEmployee recognition programOn-site parking Comprehensive company paid benefits for employees and eligible dependents including:Health and Extended Health Dental Life InsuranceInternational Travel InsuranceIf you have a strong work ethic with a positive can-do attitude and are interested in building a rewarding career please apply by Email: or by Fax: 1-At The Gear Centre Group of Companies We offer more than just a job.
