Ongoing roleWeekdays: 2 & a half hours twice a month on 2nd & 4th WednesdayMust be able to commit to shifts on a regular basisPlease list your times and days of availability on the applicationWhy Choose to volunteer with Red CrossYou can help improve lives and create a positive impact in your communityIts an opportunity to enhance your skills & knowledge & gain new experiencesYoull be helping Red Cross to support vulnerable people across AustraliaThe programThe Hands On Volunteer role is a voluntary position aimed at assisting and improving the self-esteem and quality of life for frail aged clients by providing personal hand care and regular social opportunityTo administer the Hands On Service to clients in a structured and approved Red Cross Hands On treat all client related information with respect and be committed reliable and attend the program on a regular keep the hand care kit and all items monitor stock and have stock replaced as neededThe impactGood communication and listening skillsAbility to work effectively as part of a teamA positive can do attitudeShows initiative with a common sense approachAn interest in providing humanitarian service and to work within the fundamental principles of Red requirementsFor this role you will be required to undertake a National Police Check which will be organised through Red Cross.
