Job Brief
- You are a passionate Industrial/Product Designer and will join our team to develop designs for electronics manufacturing. You will work alongside a team of engineers and other professionals to design electronic products according to specifications.
- You will collaborate with the design and production teams in various projects using the in-depth knowledge of latest design trends and engineering software to lead the way.
- In addition to being a good communicator you should be a creative thinker with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. You should be able to convey your ideas through sketches and computer aided design software for detailed drawings.
- Your focused approach based on established design principles sound theoretical knowledge practical experience and knowledge of various standards will be the key contributors in the design and development effort.
Product Designer Responsibilities:
- Understand system requirement and convert into electronic design document with part specification and identification evaluation and integration of parts into the design.
- Assess various engineering designs and prototypes to determine issues or risks.
- Schematic capture board design layout and routing for multiple layer PCBs and components.
- Understand the problem/requirements and troubleshoot/identify solutions for efficient design and optimal product performance.
- Engaging stakeholders and using sketches blueprints and prototypes to gather feedback.
- Use computer aided design to develop models and drawings of new products.
- Build prototypes and models with evaluation boards and components to test functionality.
- Execute board level ATP tests and formulate overall test procedures.
- Produce block diagrams component level designs BoM etc.
- Researching developments in tools materials and relevant design techniques.
- Follow design control versioning and documentation procedures.
- Develop product specification documentation and operating guides/manuals for customers.
- Estimate cost limits and budgets for new designs.
Requirements
Product Designer Qualification and Key Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Electronics or Electronics & Telecommunications.
- Understanding of Digital Signal Processing and RF circuits and components.
- 3 year experience at computer-aided design software for electronic design. Must include hands on experience in PCB design EDA tools Embedded Systems Technical Computation and Visualization tools.
- Must have worked on at least 10 (ten) complex design projects.
- Knowledge of Electronic Design Quality Calibration & Testing EMI/EMC Filtering and Safety Standards. Understanding of MIL Std will be an added advantage.
- Keep abreast with technology developments in the electronics domain.
- Firm grasp of design technologies and working principles like Design for Manufacturing Design for Six Sigma etc.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good problem-solving skills flair for accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and handle multiple projects simultaneously and deliver as per stipulated timelines.
- Ability to contribute effectively to team effort.
