Job Summary

Our client is a leading global healthcare company is seeking an experienced Backend Interface Developer to support interface development subsystem integration and application lifecycle management within a complex enterprise healthcare landscape. The role will focus on backend software development interface monitoring regression testing and technical documentation within an agile SCRUM environment.

This is a remote position provided the candidate operates within a similar European time zone. This is a contractual role which will run through 2026. The candidate must be flexible to work in the clients preferred time-zone which is CEST.

Key Responsibilities

Develop test and document backend interfaces and integrations
Perform regression testing and support quality gates for interface validation
Monitor interfaces and ensure operational stability
Support data structure migrations and backend transformations
Write automated tests and maintain testing frameworks
Implement error handling logging and monitoring mechanisms
Provide operational support and maintenance for interfaces/applications
Contribute to agile SCRUM ceremonies and sprint deliverables
Produce and maintain detailed technical documentation

Requirements

Strong backend software development expertise (5 years)
Advanced knowledge of Java (Java 21 preferred)
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns
Experience with Web Services (REST & SOAP)
Experience writing automated unit tests
Strong documentation and technical writing skills
Experience working in Agile / SCRUM environments

Preferred Skills

Experience with SAP BTP
Experience with (t)RFC Server integrations
Knowledge of Spring Framework / Spring Security
Experience with PostgreSQL
Experience with tools such as Cypress Swagger or similar testing tools
German language proficiency (for documentation/log interpretation)
