Job Summary

Summit Search Group has been retained by Tripwire to recruit a Business Development & Marketing Manager to help drive the companys next stage of intentional growth. This is a relationship-led role for someone who blends business development instincts with marketing intelligence and who believes that meaningful stories build meaningful businesses.


This position is approximately 70% sales / business development and 30% marketing focused on unlocking new higher-value client relationships while helping refine Tripwires positioning messaging and go-to-market strategy.

With a growing national and North American client base Tripwire is entering an exciting phase of growth and is looking for a commercially minded relationship builder to help shape what comes next.


The Opportunity

The Business Development & Marketing Manager will play a visible influential role in expanding Tripwires client portfolio. This is not a cold-call-heavy sales role. Instead its about building trust opening doors and translating Tripwires purpose and creative strength into long-term partnerships.

Youll work closely with leadership to evolve Tripwires niche focus refine its offerings and drive sustainable revenue growth while also contributing to marketing initiatives that elevate the brand and showcase impact.


What Youll Do

Sales & Business Development (70%)

  • Build and nurture relationships with senior decision-makers (CEO CMO Communications & Marketing leaders).
  • Generate new and larger business opportunities aligned with Tripwires purpose-driven positioning.
  • Execute within an established integrated sales process bringing structure momentum and follow-through.
  • Represent Tripwire at networking events conferences and industry gatherings.
  • Collaborate closely with ownership and leadership on sales strategy and growth priorities.
  • Track opportunities activity and outcomes using CRM and sales tools.

Marketing & Brand Support (30%)

  • Contribute to Tripwires marketing strategy campaigns and visibility efforts.
  • Support the development of case studies content and thought leadership.
  • Use HubSpot and related tools to support outreach tracking and reporting.
  • Help refine Tripwires messaging positioning and service offerings.
  • Collaborate with creative teams to ensure consistency between brand story and sales conversations.


Qualifications

  • 15 years of experience blending sales and marketing responsibilities.
  • Experience in B2B agency or purpose-driven environments (non-profit NGO association union or ESG-focused organizations are assets).
  • Comfort using CRM systems and modern sales/marketing tools.
  • Strong organizational skills self-direction and follow-through.
  • A growth mindset youre motivated by opportunity impact and earning potential.
  • Alignment with values-driven B-Corp culture and collaborative teams.


Work Model

  • Hybrid: In-office Mondays & Thursdays plus one additional day
  • More in-office time expected during onboarding
  • Travel: 5% annually (primarily Canada occasional U.S.)
