The Resources Hub supports the mining resources and construction sectors with emergency services officers paramedics and nursing staff. These roles are generally either relief/casual temp to perm or permanent opportunities. Swings include 8:6 (mining) or 3:1 (construction).
Our recruitment process:
We ask for the following documentation and copies of documentation -
- Word version resume
- Drivers Licence (back and front)
- National Police Clearance
- Any relevant qualifications/licences/tickets
- Visa
An assessment is required to be completed to progress applications. Generally it takes no more than 5-10 minutes. This will be reviewed and a telephone call is organised to discuss the role and answer any questions you may have. This includes rosters working environments (iron ore gold mine construction etc) preferences of working in clinics/medical services and or emergency services/training. For those new to the industry we provide extra support and learning around the FIFO lifestyle and placements are offered ensuring there is a supportive encouraging team on site.
We create a submission for our client. This does not include any private information including name/phone number/email to protect your privacy.
We submit you to our client and generally have a rapid turnaround time for feedback.
If successful we will always then complete two reference checks (with your consent).
A full pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen or a medical application declaration and drug and alcohol screen will be required prior to mobilisation.
Relief/casual or temp to perm employment will be through The Resources Hub NOT the client. We require an online application declaration to be completed including providing contact details emergency contact details and health history. An online employment contract tax file declaration and Choice of Superannuation will also need to be completed.
Permanent roles will be through the client however all documentation is reviewed by The Resources Hub first and we are there to assist with any questions or concerns about it prior to acceptance.
We keep in touch during employment - prior to starting during the first week the first month and the three month mark. Details for our Senior Recruiter and Senior Administrator will be provided and they can be contacted with any questions/concerns outside of this.
Please note these roles can sometimes be within a 24 hour turnaround - we communicate mostly by text and telephone calls and more formally in email.
