Job Summary
Pay Range : $65/hr on W2
We are seeking a Senior Software Test & Validation Engineer who will serve as the Product Owner for Test owning the vision strategy and execution of the overall testing and validation campaign. This role requires a strategic thought leader who defines how testing enables product quality and regulatory compliancenot a hands-on tactical tester. The ideal candidate has deep experience testing software integrated with hardware in regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Define Test Strategy & VisionOwn and drive the end-to-end test and validation strategy translating customer and regulatory needs into scalable risk-based test approaches.
- Product Ownership & Backlog ManagementBuild prioritize and maintain the test backlog author user stories and acceptance criteria and coordinate cross-team dependencies in support of PI and iteration planning.
- Acceptance & Delivery AccountabilityFormally accept features and user stories using defined acceptance criteria and Definition of Done ensuring high-quality compliant deliverables.
- Leadership & CollaborationLead cross-functional collaboration across engineering systems quality and regulatory teams while advocating for built-in quality and customer-centric design.
- Continuous ImprovementParticipate in and influence Inspect & Adapt events driving continuous improvement in test effectiveness coverage and efficiency.
- Stakeholder CommunicationRepresent test and validation outcomes internally and externally clearly communicating complex technical information to diverse stakeholder audiences.
Required Qualifications
8 years of experience in software testing for hardware-integrated systems
Proven experience in FDA or FAA regulated environments (medical devices strongly preferred)
Strong background in verification & validation system-level testing and risk-based testing
Experience operating in Agile / SAFe environments with PI planning and backlog ownership
Excellent communication and technical leadership skills
