Our global network includes facilities in Canada the United States Germany and Hungary ensuring regional expertise and global Position:The Mechanical Designer will work directly with Mechanical Design Lead and Design teams to ensure projects are met on budget. The incumbent will work with the management and department personnel to deliver the Eclipse Vision and the Eclipse Entrepreneurial Youll Be Doing:Perform engineering calculations with respect to strength of materials speeds horsepower temperature pressure force etc. as related to machine and tool designsAnalyze engineering drawings and specifications to determine shape dimensions hardness the development of equipment processes and productsExamine feasibility of using one or more machines to carry out sequential operationsProduce working drawings detail drawings and bills of materials for equipment sub-assemblies or product using Auto CAD and SolidWorksAnalyze designs and systems for compliance to applicable standards (i.e. OSHA CE or customer specifics)Review drawings for accuracy material selection proper machining techniques finishes hardness etc. Responsible for communicating progress on tasks to supervising designerFormalize and update drawing documentationLiaise with fabricators machinists toolmakers and electricians in the completion of equipment and resolving problemsProfessional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skillsTravel expectations is less than 15% of time however may increase to meet project needsWhat Were Looking For:Experience in mechanical design utilizing SolidWorks (or equivalent) is requiredExperience in an automation environment is an assetExperience with custom tooling for the nuclear industry is an assetWorking knowledge of ISO 9001 N299 NQA-1 is an assetWhat We Offer:Reimbursement for tuition and professional duesStart out with 3 weeks of vacation401k/Retirement plansFree snack programWhy Join Us:Here at Eclipse Automation creation and innovation are at our core and our culture reflects that.
