At PwC our people in deals focus on providing strategic advice and support to clients in areas such as mergers and acquisitions divestitures and restructuring. They help clients navigate complex transactions and maximise value in their business deals.

In deal recovery management at PwC you will focus on helping clients navigate financial distress and recover from challenging business situations. You will be responsible for providing strategic advice and solutions to optimise recovery outcomes.

As aPerformance& Restructuring Senior Associateyoullwork as part of a team of problem solvers helping to solve business issues deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Meeting with clients and target companies to understand their views needs and services tobeprovided in connection with their financial or operationalsituation

Performing cash flow modelling and sensitivity analysis

Strategic planning with business case and scenario modelling including analyzing financial results and assessing the enterprises financialstructure

Identifyingreasons for a business underperformance and assessing the ongoing viability of the enterprise

Assistingin the preparation of presentations and/or reports for keystakeholders

Helping clients management teams develop and implement turnaround plans tomaintainstakeholder support

Supporting our business development activities including assisting in pursuit of new clientopportunitiesand developing leads

Distressed Merger & Acquisition and financing engagements

Court supervised restructuring and private appointmentspursuant tothe Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and the Companies Creditors Arrangement Act.

Acting for secured lenders to recover theirloans

Experiences and skillsyoulluse tosolve

Professional accounting designation (CPA) is

Excellent accounting financialanalysisand financial modelling skills

Ability to work under tight deadlines embrace the uncertainty and fluid nature of the work andwork within a team ona number ofsimultaneous projects

Strong customer relationship and business development skills

Proficiencyin Microsoft Office 365 and Google Workspace applications.Experience with other data tools such as Alteryx and Power BIisa strong asset.

Developing an understanding of a business operations the risks it faces and its critical successfactors

Preparing clearconciseand professional communications such as reports orpresentations

Employing strong project management skills to complete assignments that meet stakeholderexpectations

This roledoesntsupport completion of the Canadian CPA designation

The salary range for this position is $58400 - $ posted salary rangerepresentsthe expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres.
