Job Summary

Granite Academy is a dynamic strength-based day school serving middle and high school students whose social-emotional needs impact their learning experience. Our staff provide flexible individualized programming and are dedicated to meeting the needs of our students their families and the public-school systems. Our team works with students individually and in small groups to support their full engagement in academic vocational social and recreational activities that promote skill development emotional well-being and movement towards graduation.

Granite Academy utilizes unique ARC (Attachment Self-Regulation and Competency) and BCC (Building Communities of Care) treatment frameworks that focus on building individual capacities for emotion regulation personal strength and healthy relationships.

We are seeking a licensed and experienced Assistant Clinical Director to step into a key leadership role within our therapeutic day school. This senior-level position serves as the second-in-command to the Clinical Director and plays a pivotal role in the coordination and delivery of clinical services across the school community.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in adolescent mental health excellent clinical judgment and demonstrated leadership experience in a school-based or treatment setting. Compensation

The pay range for this position is $66000 to $84000 per year. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience education licensure certifications and qualifications. This range may be modified in the future.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Serve as second-in-command in the clinical department assuming leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Clinical Director.
  • Carrying a caseload of students and provide individual and group counseling.
  • Serve as a clinical leader during crisis situations and in the absence of the Clinical Director.
  • Serve as a liaison between clinical academic and administrative departments to ensure a cohesive and supportive therapeutic environment for all students.
  • Overseeing and supporting the development and implementation of group therapy curricula.
  • Support and coaching counselors/staff with creation of IEP goals writing IEP progress reports and preparing to present in IEP progress meetings.
  • Taking initiative on professional development staff training and cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Work together with all staff as a team to ensure compliance with regulations and standards established by the DESE and JRI.
  • Function as member of the Administrative Team providing input into problem solving process design.
  • Provide clinical leadership in all matters which address clinical issues.
  • Provide strategic support to school-wide programming.

Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Masters degree in social work psychology or counseling from an accredited college or university required.
  • Must have clinical licensure LICSW or LMHC.
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience with adolescents.
  • Familiarity with DESE regulations and therapeutic school environments.
  • Strong supervisory skills.
  • Must have strong communication skills with the ability to express ideas clearly in both written and oral communication; ability to interact professionally with students caregivers collaterals and the community at large; ability to complete high quality reports and paperwork.
  • Experience in documentation and program development.
